Political Cartoons

This political cartoon depicts that Nixon is in fact a "crook". In the 1940's movie Pinocchio a growing nose symbolized lying which is what Nixon was caught doing in the Watergate scandal. The design on his shirt is a picture of Vietnam which represents his involvement in Vietnam.
This political cartoon is also about Nixon being "a crook."  When the tapes of him were released, there was proof that he fixed the election.  Nixon has been known to say ,"I am not a crook" and this political cartoon shows that he in fact, is.

The political cartoon shown above is displaying Kennedy and Khrushchev arm wrestling. They are sitting on missiles. This picture represents the tensions caused by the Cuban Missile Crisis. Neither one of them is making a move, however they are both making threats.

  1. ...except that the first cartoon is a depiction of Lyndon B. Johnson, not Richard Nixon.
